look at the difference in landscape when you are journeying towards swiss ground. you see lakes,
Plains,
mountains...
On the way to switzerland, we stopped over at Fox Town. An outlet mall housing over 160 luxury brands. There were quite good deals there. You could get a simple SWATCH watch for only S$55+. none of the designs appealed to me haha...
We didn't buy anything though. sat around the premises and went out to stroll about the compounds of that area. tried a cheese and spinach quiche. Erm, it was very average. Singapore's starbucks serves better ones.
After much travelling, we arrived at Lucerne! Had an orientation tour and visited the Lion Monument...dedicated to Swiss guards who died during the French revolution.
Pretty flowers bloom in spring :)
Next stop was the chapel bridge,part of the oldest medieval city ramparts of Lucerne.
Some small shops along the alleys of Lucerne. It was a sunday so all the shops were closed!
Handmade chocolates! tasted heavenly there but cannot be brought back to humid Singapore as the candy will be ruined.
After dinner at the hotel, the night was still young, so the whole tour group decided to walk to the casino in Lucerne. It was cold and drizzling...
The casino there had only a few tables and game machines, so most of us decided to make our way back to the hotel to rest... before the rain got heavier. The rain indeed got heavier and we took shelter at the chapel bridge before dashing back to the hotel from there. Night shot here...
and I must mention that our hotel in switzerland did not have an aircon. We just left our window open at night to let the cool air in.
We'll be heading to one of the alps next!
