Europe Trip Day 5

Our last stop in Italy - Milan! Milan is a fashion capital, people on the streets dress well.

visited the world's 4th largest chuch, Gothic Cathedral.

famous for her glass-stained windows.

an upclose shot. people of the past could not read, so artists expressed the bible through images on the windows. this glass panel was depicting King Herod's reign, where he murdered all baby boys in an attempt to kill Jesus.

Beautiful...

also visited Castello Sforzesco, a military fortress in Milan.

next, we were at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a site of many luxury goods like LV and Prada. I could not remember the significance of this place except for shopping. haha...
!

we were given a few hours' free time to roam around. while the rest were shopping, we decided to rest our legs. drank coffee and dog-spotted. cute Milanese dogs :D

oh, and this pizza was divine! olive, tomatoes and potato! never eaten pizza with potatoes before. appealed well to the palate :)

ahhh... that night, we stayed in the best hotel in Europe. ATA hotel in Milan. short of 'S' to be named ATAS (top) hotel. look at how big our room was! internet was pricey though, 13 euros per hour!

we'll be heading to scenic switzerland the next morning!
